About (SNCW) SUNDAY NIGHT CLUB WEST
SNCW (Sunday Night Club West) is a social club with about 25 members (50+).
Members sponsor 6-10 social activities per month (see "Activities" page for partial list). If you want to attend an event, don't want to go alone, come join us and sponsor that event for the club. Then others can sign up to go with you. It works well, as we have a wide variety of interests and count on our members to suggest things they'd like to do. Other fun activities take place during the month as well.
Our main activity each month is our Sunday Night meeting from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We enjoy a meal together, from 6 to 7 PM followed by some club announcements about recent and future activities. Then we have an entertaining speaker, social mixer, or program from 7 to 8 PM.
Meeting place through the end of December 2023:
The Lloyd G. Clements Community Center (meeting is upstairs in the Columbine Room) Please enter through the main door (all other doors are locked) and turn left to reach the stairs and elevator. Location is: 1580 Yarrow Street in Lakewood, CO. 80214 (1 block north of West Colfax Avenue and 1 block west of Wadsworth Blvd.) The Clements Center is a nice facility with tables and comfy chairs for socializing.
The meal is often provided by volunteer cooks in the club. They get reimbursed for their expenses and their admittance fee is waived for that evening. There are usually one or two meal volunteers each meeting to help lighten the load, and they can either cook the meal or buy prepared fool (like pizza, fried chicken, or sub sandwiches). Other meals are potlucks.
Please look at the "Meetings" page to make sure where we are meeting whenever you want to visit us as we don't meet at the Clements Center on a few special Sundays. On those rare occasions, we enjoy Holiday Get-togethers, a Super Bowl Party, Colorado Rockies Games, picnics, our annual Holiday Dinner, or perhaps a Sunday night dinner at a local restaurant.
We urge you to attend a Sunday Night meeting first to get to know us before checking out our monthly activities.
Compared to other clubs in the area, SNCW membership dues are inexpensive.
In 2023 a full year's dues will be $40. There is a door fee for our meetings for guests, visitors and members.
